Temperature Sensors & Compensators

Wire wound RTD sensors and positive TCR compensators — precision thermal management from 50Ω to 5KΩ, with TCR up to +6000 ppm/°C.

Precision Thermal Management

PRC manufactures wire wound temperature-sensitive resistors that function as RTD sensors and thermal compensators. Designed with positive temperature coefficients up to +6000 ppm/°C, these components measure temperature, compensate for thermal drift, and stabilize precision circuits.

RTD Sensors

100Ω wire wound devices following platinum DIN standards at a fraction of the cost.

TCR Compensators

Positive TCR up to +6000 ppm/°C to offset negative drift in precision circuits.

Bridge Stabilization

Stabilize output of bridge circuits and signal conditioning systems.

PRC100 Standard Reference Series

100Ω (±0.12% at 0°C) wire wound temperature sensor with a TCR of +3850 ppm/°C meeting the platinum DIN standard (IEC 751, α = 0.00385 Ω/Ω/°C).

Unlike traditional platinum RTDs locked to a fixed 100Ω at 0°C, PRC100 custom sensors can be manufactured in any ohmic value from 50Ω to 5KΩ with tolerances from ±0.03% (1/4 DIN) to ±0.24% (DIN × 2). Design directly to your circuit’s optimal impedance without resistor network padding.

PT & SP Series

Positive TCR Compensators

The PT (through-hole) and SP (surface mount) series are positive temperature coefficient resistors designed as special-purpose sensors or compensators to stabilize negative drift in precision circuits. These linear-tracking components offset negative errors in dB output circuits and help achieve true RMS measurements.

Customizable to any ohmic value using pure metals, available alloys, or composite windings. TCR ranges from +1400 to +6000 ppm/°C. Standard 3500 ppm/°C compensators typically deliver needed performance without additional padding resistors.

AT & ST Series

1KΩ 3500 PPM Compensators

Standard 1KΩ, +3500 ppm/°C compensators kept in stock for fast delivery. Widely used in A/D conversion circuits and dB output correction applications.

The ST35 is a drop-in SMD replacement for the through-hole AT35 with interchangeable specifications, allowing direct design migration from through-hole to surface mount without re-characterizing the compensation circuit.
